Redefining the sexual healthcare shopping experience

With Dima

Dima believes that acquiring sexual health care products and services in the Philippines shouldn’t have to be so awkward and expensive.

Filipinos have always walked on eggshells when it comes to discussing sexual and reproductive health. Religious and conservative beliefs have had a strong influence on our culture, thus raising barriers to accessing sexual healthcare, sex education, and sexual health products. Even so, many Filipinos discreetly navigate their sexual healthcare by independently doing online research, toughing out awkward buying experiences, or going through the hassle of scheduling a visit to a clinic. These limitations have left many people feeling disoriented and discouraged.

Dima’s mission is to make sexual healthcare more accessible for Filipinos through their e-commerce shop, blog, and social media. Their progressive, personal approach to sexual healthcare hopes to instill a sense of confidence in Filipinos so they may make informed decisions about their sexual health.

Dima makes the sexual healthcare experience more convenient and easy by providing sexual health products online, such as birth control pills and erectile dysfunction medicine.

EVERY BODY IS WELCOME

We looked into our audience and found that discrete DIYers, advocates, and self-conscious learners have diverse needs when it comes to sexual healthcare and may find it daunting to navigate by themselves.

We wanted Dima to feel like a lifestyle brand rather than a pharmacy. To counter the taboo that comes with sexual health, we anchored the rebrand on the concept of a vibrant and joyful celebration of the human body and all the shapes and sizes it comes in.

Bright and energetic graphic elements with bold illustrations, chunky type, and iconography inspired by sexual health products inspire a sense of confidence and vitality, encouraging people to feel safer and more secure in themselves and their bodily functions. Simply put, we wanted the brand to say that every body is welcome.

Your personal specialist

Dima’s e-commerce website is their most important brand touchpoint. Their initial website didn’t reflect the personalized service they offer and it was difficult for people to find what they were looking for. It was important for the redesign to show that Dima doesn’t offer the standard e-commerce journey. From unique features such as free e-prescriptions and secure online consultations with assured privacy and trust, Dima serves as their users’ personal and progressive online specialist.

Most users buy products they already know they need—as such, product categories are highly visible on both the homepage and the menus

Our goal was to design a website that makes the shopping experience friendly, uncomplicated, and informative in order to lower the barriers to purchase. Given that most users shop for specific products, we designed the website to prominently display product categories and deliver essential information about each item in a digestible and guided way. We even created icons for the unique benefits of each birth control pill brand so that shoppers can easily find the right one for their needs.

Dima approached us with the objective of creating a comfortable shopping experience for reproductive healthcare products—a resonant brand and an informative e-commerce site are crucial to achieve this goal. Normalizing conversations on sexual health feels like a long way off for a country like the Philippines, but with Dima, we’re one big step closer to making this vision a reality.
